Whenever I think of pure-metal understanding and my hometown Melbourne, Keith Peter-Budge comes to mind. His precise execution to the art of musical creativity is warmly offset by his humorous observations of many metal greats.
Keith, along with drummer Noel Tenney, played guitar in the final and most recorded incarnation of the mighty Bengal Tigers. His well structured riffs, stinging thought-out solos and tunesmith song writing were evident in both the studio and on stage. The Bengals were legendary, primal and groundbreaking in the Oz metal scene, but Keith had played punk, new wave and also keyboards. What also gives him a distinct advantage is his understanding of the mechanics of the recording studio and total guitar equipment.
In the Stonecutters Keith also handles the bass duties with Noel supplying drums. "Ritualistic" (The Album) has, and solely without hype, been a time coming, and is a creation of accomplishment over attitude.
